Treatment for Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease

Donepezil tablets are indicated for the treatment of mild, moderate and severe Alzheimer’s disease.
Donepezil tablets are indicated for the treatment of vascular dementia (dementia associated with cerebrovascular disease).
Donepezil, PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE. The active ingredient in each Donepezil tablet contains either 5 mg or 10 mg of Donepezil hydrochloride. Donepezil 5 mg and Donepezil 10 mg are provided in packs of 90 tablets.
Donepezil tablets are prescribed for the treatment of mild, moderate and severe Alzheimer’s disease. Donepezil tablets are also used for the treatment of vascular dementia (dementia associated with cerebrovascular disease).
Donepezil tablets have risks and benefits. Do not use Donepezil tablets if you are allergic to donepezil hydrochloride or to any of the other ingredients in this medication. Your doctor will have considered the risks of you using Donepezil tablets against the benefits expected. Discuss with your doctor or pharmacist any concerns you may have. Discuss with your doctor if you are allergic to any dyes, preservatives, other medication or foods. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist before taking Donepezil tablets if you are taking, or have recently taken, any other medicines (including medication for weight loss) and/or any medicines obtained without a prescription from your pharmacy, health store or supermarket. Do not use any other medication while taking Donepezil tablets unless it is approved or prescribed by your doctor.
Abide by all instructions given by your doctor carefully. Your doctor will discuss the Donepezil tablet dosage you will be required to take each day. All medications can have side effects. At times they can be serious, while the majority of the time they are not. Some side effects may require you to have medical treatment. Discuss with your doctor any questions or concerns you have. If you experience any side effects, talk to your doctor or healthcare professional.
