Univent Solution for Inhalation is indicated for the short-term acute treatment of the reversible component in chronic obstructive airways disease (COPD), such as chronic bronchitis and bronchial asthma.
Univent Solution for Inhalation, PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE. Univent Solution for Inhalation comes in a plastic ampoule for inhalation which contains either 250 mcg of Ipratropium bromide in 1 mL of solution or 500 mcg of Ipratropium bromide in 2 mL of solution. Univent Solution for Inhalation 2.5 mcg / 1 mL and Univent Solution for Inhalation 5.0 mcg / 2 mL are available in packs of 20 single dose units.
Univent Solution for Inhalation is used for patients with chronic pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic bronchitis, emphysema and related respiratory conditions. It is also used for people with asthma with salbutamol (or other β-agonists).
Univent Solution for Inhalation has risks and benefits. Do not use Univent Solution for Inhalation if you are allergic to it or to any of its ingredients. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any other medicine, particularly atropine or other anticholinergic medicines. Before using Univent Solution for Inhalation, it is advisable to tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines obtained with or without a doctor’s prescription.
Follow all recommendations given to you by your doctor or pharmacist carefully. Tell your doctor as soon as possible if you experience any side effects during or after using Univent Solution for Inhalation, so that these may be properly treated.
