Asthalin Solution for Inhalation is indicated for the use in the routine management of chronic bronchospasm – unresponsive to conventional therapy and in the treatment of acute severe asthma (status asthmaticus).

Asthalin Solution for Inhalation, PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE. Each Asthalin ampoule (2.5 mL) contains Salbutamol sulphate (equivalent to salbutamol 2.5 milligrams or 5.0 milligrams). Asthalin Solution for Inhalation 2.5 mg / 2.5 mL and Asthalin Solution for Inhalation 5.0 mg / 2.5 mL are available in packs of 20 inhalation ampoules.

Asthalin Solution for Inhalation is a medicine which is inhaled into the lungs for the relief of asthma symptoms.

Asthalin Solution for Inhalation has risks and benefits. Do not use Asthalin Solution for Inhalation if you are allergic to salbutamol or to any of the other ingredients of Asthalin Solution for Inhalation. In some cases, you should not use Asthalin Solution for Inhalation if you are allergic to certain other medicines including any other medicines used to treat breathing problems or any other beta-2-agonist medicine. Before taking Asthalin Solution for Inhalation, you must tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines, obtained with or without a doctor’s prescription.

Your doctor will decide what dose you should use and how often you should use it. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. If your chest condition suddenly gets worse, your doctor may tell you to increase your dose. If you increase your dose and do not get relief, tell your doctor immediately. Tell your doctor or pharmacist immediately if you notice any of the following: a heartbeat that is fast or irregular; pounding heart beat; difficulty breathing or worsening of your breathing problems; swelling or severe rash. These may be serious side effects. You may need urgent medical attention. Serious side effects are rare. In a few people, salbutamol may affect their blood potassium levels and your doctor may wish to do tests to check this. If you notice anything else that is making you feel unwell then advise your pharmacist or your doctor.
